Bio

For us, organic certification is an essential criterion for the purchase of our raw materials.
Organic farming
The malting plant has been certified organic since its inception by Alpes Contrôles (an independent body) for the malts and services it offers. Batches are carefully and rigorously monitored, and detailed specifications are drawn up with our partners for the purchase of cereals in order to offer you consistent, high-quality malts.

Savoyard

It was an observation shared by many players in the brewing industry that led to the creation of the malting plant. Malts, and their cereals before them, often have to travel many kilometers to reach the crushers. The malthouse sources its cereals exclusively from regional partners (Rhône-Alpes), with a maximum in the departments of Ain (01), Savoie (73-74) and Isère (38). From an agronomic point of view, brewing cereals can have a place in many crop rotations!

A virtuous activity for the region...

Savoie Mont-Blanc Excellence
Malt'In Pott is part of the Savoie Mont Blanc Excellence initiative, which aims to promote companies that are rooted in the region and help it to shine. What's more, by working exclusively with local cereals, the malthouse offers a new outlet for local players who want to keep their production close to the land from which it originates. Structuring the brewing grain industry in the region remains an ongoing objective.

... and the environment

In addition to working exclusively with organically grown raw materials, Malt'in Pott strives to limit its carbon footprint at its production site. Production capacity and tools have been improved and made more efficient. The facilities and manufacturing process have been designed to have as little impact as possible on the environment. They are powered by "green" energy, thanks to photovoltaic panels and hydroelectricity.
The building is surrounded by hedges and trees of different species to encourage biodiversity around the malthouse.
The company's vehicles are electric and hybrid.

Our rope access partners

We have been working with two cooperatives from the outset to meet our commitments and supply ourselves with local cereals for each harvest.
Jura Mont Blanc

Jura Mont-Blanc

This cooperative is committed to structuring the organic cereal sector in its area and, in partnership with the malting plant, to enhancing the value of malting barley. Our two cooperatives work together on several varieties, mainly from the Haute-Savoie and Ain regions. They ensure that the barley seed is fully valorized into malt and feed, along with the rootlets destined for cattle. Every year, Jura Mont-Blanc carries out field trials to validate future varietal choices.

Oxyane

Oxyane

The Coopérative Oxyane supplies us with malting barley and other cereals, rounding out our range of varieties. This cooperative, located in all the departments of the Auvergne Rhône Alpes region, is committed to promoting local production, from primary or secondary cereal processing, under the banner of quality and regional identity.
